The Walnut Creek Wish is a new series by Wanda Brunstetter and I’m loving it。 It’s a mixture of Amish and English and those are my favorite kind。 She makes the characters come alive and keeps me turning the pages。 I cannot wait until the next book comes out in this series。

This is the first book in the Creektown Discoveries series by the most famous name in Amish Fiction。 I love that she tackles difficult circumstances of marital problems， childlessness， and rediscovering who you are after several years of marriage。 The Amish couple Orley and Lois are gems and their mentoring without making it obvious drew me in。 I immediately wanted to be friends with them。 They are charming and the antique store they run called Memory Keepers made me want to enter and browse and This is the first book in the Creektown Discoveries series by the most famous name in Amish Fiction。 I love that she tackles difficult circumstances of marital problems， childlessness， and rediscovering who you are after several years of marriage。 The Amish couple Orley and Lois are gems and their mentoring without making it obvious drew me in。 I immediately wanted to be friends with them。 They are charming and the antique store they run called Memory Keepers made me want to enter and browse and that is exactly what this book did。 I had to enter as the cover drew me in and I browsed the story slowly so I could take it all in。 I liked how Jeff and Rhonda grew as individuals and together and the message of restoration。 Ms。 Brunstetter never fails to deliver a message of hope and simpler ways of life。 I look forward to book two。 I received a complimentary copy from Barbour Publishing。 The honest review and opinions are my own and were not required。 。。。more

I enjoyed this first book in the new Wanda Brunstetter series Creektown Discoveries。 Walnut Creek Wish is a little bit of a departure from her usual Amish tale mostly because the main characters are not Amish。 There were a few times when the story dragged a bit especially passages when there is a lot of detail about what the character is thinking。 Overall it is a great story about building relationship and finding faith。

A whole new series。。。Creektown Discoveries。 I enjoy reading books by Wanda Brunstetter because they represent a different way of life。 Sometimes an amish way of living or a Mennonite way of living or as in this story a way of life where other people are helping those in need。Who would have thought that an antique store could bring healing to people with life hurts？ But that is exactly what the Troyers have at their antique store， the Memory Keepers， a place where hurting people come to shop and A whole new series。。。Creektown Discoveries。 I enjoy reading books by Wanda Brunstetter because they represent a different way of life。 Sometimes an amish way of living or a Mennonite way of living or as in this story a way of life where other people are helping those in need。Who would have thought that an antique store could bring healing to people with life hurts？ But that is exactly what the Troyers have at their antique store， the Memory Keepers， a place where hurting people come to shop and end up being helped by kind words and deeds。At first， I wasn't sure about Jeff and Rhonda。 They both seem a bit egotistical and very much all about themselves。 Then Jeff and Rhonda （they are married） decide to move to a slower way of life。 Jeff loves to fill their garage up with antiques which leads him to buy an antique sled。However， his wife sees the antiques as a distraction for her husband。 Rhonda feels inadequate because she can't have a baby。 Is jeff buying antiques to fill the void？This was a great story！ I loved the interaction and love that the Troyers displayed。And sometimes and antique sled brings more than anyone ever hoped。*This book was provided for review by Barbour* 。。。more

This is the first book in a new series by Ms。 Brunstetter with a mix of Amish and English characters。 To be honest， it took some time for me to get interested in the storyline， but， once I did， it was more enjoyable than I expected it to be。 I wasn’t always sympathetic with Jeff and Rhonda， but， then I remember being in their position with working hard， long hours and rarely having time for themselves。 I think a lot of couples have either been in their situation or perhaps going through that cur This is the first book in a new series by Ms。 Brunstetter with a mix of Amish and English characters。 To be honest， it took some time for me to get interested in the storyline， but， once I did， it was more enjoyable than I expected it to be。 I wasn’t always sympathetic with Jeff and Rhonda， but， then I remember being in their position with working hard， long hours and rarely having time for themselves。 I think a lot of couples have either been in their situation or perhaps going through that currently。Moving farther away from their jobs and enjoying a home life was good for them in some ways while proving difficult for them in other ways。 Meeting the Amish couple who own and operate Memory Keepers， an antique store was not only good for them， but， also good for this reader of this novel， because they were my favorites。 I absolutely adored them and could easily imagine them having their lunch in their store and greeting their customers。 The author brought Orley and Lois Troyer to life before my eyes with her vivid descriptions of these two delightful characters。 I hope they will be brought back throughout the series。Overall， I liked the premise， the characters and the outcome for Jeff and Rhonda。 I’m looking forward to the next book in the series and hoping to check in with all four characters in this book， and meeting new ones in the second book。 I received a copy from the publisher。 All opinions are my own。 。。。more

The first book in the Creektown Discoveries series。 It looks like this will be another must read series by Wanda。 A story about an English couple who haven’t found their Faith。 They face a lot of issues and with the help of an Amish couple and family they are able to overcome a lot。 I didn’t want to put the book down。
